Alright, after much math and antangoizing over system vs story and other ... things..
I have readjusted Magic to be a balance of odds to fit story and system.
However.
Please understand the "balance" is not equal to the world populations. There are only ever about 50 world walkers and time mages in existance- if that, ever, in one 1000 year period. Players "potential" pool is a MUCH GREATER PERCENT CHANCE to allow players to play RARE BUTTERFLY characters. This is a blessing and a curse, but unfortantly the math doesn't work out for this model to support the entire world base of Harpeah.
And that was 'before'... the story your entering (for older players more familiar with Harpeah.)
Only two players previously "rolled" or were rolled for, their magic. You can keep or try again your magic- but under the new rules and percentiles- which have changed slightly. For comparison the old chart will remain for a week Then I'll flip it out this weekend for the new chart and a bit of advertising... I was kind of kicking back a bit to to see if I could get a core group of players as well as finish any system tweaks with those more forgiving.
Players can....
A) Arrange a time over aim to roll their own dice to take their chances on an element. You can have 2 rolls.
B) the ST can roll "behind scenes" and let you find out your element in PMs or through gaming.
Regardless, it is based on species.
Included in this are the new odds and the PDF with the roll x get y stuff.
