SUMMARY FROM POST WATER TEMPLE to Half Light temple (including sound)
This summary is not intended to be anything more than a brief log of what's occurred so far for those at home keeping score. It's not intended to be anything more than that.
Previously:
Our intrepid heroes have gone forward from the water temple... and more Humans from Earth have come to Harpeah. Juin, Reginald, Benoit and Tobias have all come to Harpeah. While some transitions were kinder then others, they seem to be settling into their new habitat nicely.
Our band of Heroes traversed down the sound temple path when Jean Delbrady heard cries of help from a fellow Earth sound mage trapped as a slave after her- somewhat bumpy- arrival to Harpeah. Vanessa (Kristen) and Becky (NPC) were rescued from their captors who didn't seem to like "regular" human beings. In fact, they were pretty damn distrustful of them. With Vanessa's assistance, the party escaped out into the woods were they regrouped with Reginald and Juin and went back to the Pyramid.
Important things to note: During this time people began to notice that things "happen" when they cross down the doors in the arrow room. It's pretty much understood in character (and should definitely be understood OUT of character) that every time you walk through the doors you’re in a different time and sometimes even different version of Harpeah. **See the actual thread below for a summary of all 3 timelines. **
Back at the Pyramid, our hungry adventurers find a spread on the other large room (Council Chambers). Jean and Lift vanish after eating a lot of the food and passing out. (Unknown if at this time it was the food that was cursed, or if their hunger drove it/chaos to happen..) Jean and Lift are transported to a rather.. Sticky situation to become “brides” of two sisters. The others quickly launch a mission…
Jean and Lift during this period have visions of a past that was once there, but no longer is there. (Original Timeline.)
Juin, Payton, Becky, Wendell, Owen and Reginald are the only ones to remain conscious and mount a rescue. The Sword that Owen wields “Radar” “Senses Evil” in the eye of the room. It is, thus, stabbed and shadows leak out of the eye, pooling on the floor and creating a portal to the underworld- or Jigoku.
Without fear, the small party of awake adventures jump in… accept Reginald—who is far more content to watch over their companions. (Not an unwise idea with people drugging other people… and sleeping companions upstairs.)
In Jigoku, Wendell and Juin vanish to handle other matters after telling Payton that Payton could not sacrifice himself to the underworld. Payton, Owen, and Radar manage to rescue our Brides from their chamber after meeting- and getting assistance – from Kumo, keeper of Jigoku.
The next Morning everyone woke afresh and- accept for a few snickers, most everyone had recovered from the previous day’s activities. Reginald experimented in the morning by closing the doors to the water and sound doorways in the Arrow Room. This sealed the water door shut and it no longer looked like the door- but the sound door remained open. Lift wisely noted that the water door simply had fulfilled its purpose. Perhaps giving rise, once again, to the thought of… the room itself and who designed it to have a purpose?
NOT FOR OUR HEROES… Nope… Instead Jean and Hiroto decide to explore the council chambers in greater relief. The results of this was the chamber expanding, and a temporary temporal breech stopped only by the quick actions of a wee little penguin. There is new a staircase that lead to a balcony and a nursery room. Lift finds a small boat with the word “Lysander” on it. The party jump back downstairs and head for the sound temple…
***Broke off here because Vanessa/Jean were not both there for the sound temple…. So it was retconned/bounced to go to the light temple. ***
Payton, Radar, Owen, Lift, Jaxson, Becky and Wendell go off to explore the right hand path toward the Children of the Moon- a forest village filled with women and children. On the way to the village to look for information or the light pendant itself, they are confronted by a woman who shoots Radars zombie dog with an arrow and grazes Owen and Lift, and barely misses Jaxon.
Surprisingly the party parley with the woman in the trees for access and information to her village. The woman complies, inviting them- and their creepy undead dog- into the village to meet with the visiting Grandmaster. Grandmaster Cassandra, consort to Cian, greets the party. She and Payton, as well as Owen, have a sit down while Lift and Jaxson get magic lessons from some of the locals.
As they are leaving, Lift’s new friend doesn’t take well to him leaving. Radar is taught a semi-valuable lesson about perspective and the party gains one half of the light pendant. Becky is also healed of most of her injuries. The group left to regroup before taking on the other path which lead into a very over crowded city. The party were also equipped by Cassandra and the Children of the Moon- bringing back extra weapons, armor and supplies to the pyramid for those who had remained back there.
***SHAMELESS INSERT ADVENTURE TBA for Payton, Becky and Wendell***
That “afternoons” The party went back out again to the sound temple, the path that had been previously open to the village where they found Vanessa and Becky was gone- however the path to the sound temple remained open. Upon reaching the sound temple, the party was challenged to a game of wits. Vanessa charmed a griffin out of chaos… The sound pendant was a shadow of the other--- suggesting that it is the second reality they had found themselves in. a time mage “pulled” the other pendant through the timelines so the two merged and became a powerful sound mages.
After winning the challenge the party the party went back to the pyramid.
-----
The following morning the party were going to go out to look in the city for the other half of the light pendant.. only…
No one really wanted to leave the pyramid. There was a sense of time magic in the pyramid that was calling from the dreams and the light door where someone needed rescuing… The Sword said the Evil was Here, and let’s BOLT… When Owen didn’t go with it the sword summoned skeletons, and the skeletons of the dead outside began to try to get in—by beating the pyramid to the ground to respond to the summons… Lift reinforced the Pyramid as a skeleton hand grabbed Gray and Jaxson who were still sleeping a magical sleep…
Then the sword shut up and unsummoned the skeletons. There was a large, rather ominous argument from the party- as a whole- and as people began to split up to go their other ways…They found themselves waking up from their beds- the first dream almost forgotten in the light of the other… Some people simply didn’t retain what happened, but many people did managed to keep well in lined with the fact they just got time bounced back to the beginning of the morning.
Some people stayed behind at the Pyramid, however, Jean, Owen, Becky, Payton, and Lift all went to go find out about that weird dream – and perhaps figure out where the light pendant was in the city in the desert (Sol City- Original Timeline.) There they discovered another human in a cage. The people there seemed relieved someone else would take responsibility for the captured human and so Tobias joined the party.
While Lift, Jean and Owen were trying to figure out what to do / how to get Tobias out of the cage- Zurumama took Becky (who looked .. not healthy..) and Payton to a Tavern/Inn. In this inn Payton and Becky had a conversation that .. changed their relationship a bit. Toward the end of the conversation Becky raised her hand to touch Payton’s face- with the intent to erase his memories- when Lift conjured an earth wall. That wall burst into bloom, rotted, and dusted with in seconds of coming in contact with Becky’s raised hand.
Payton, visibly upset (who wouldn’t be?) with drew a bit from the party. Jean, Lift and Owen were left trying to figure out what to do about the entire mess while the bartender slipped free booze to Tobias, informing him that if his party could keep the little girl from doing that crazy magic again they could drink as much as they’d like in his Tavern.
As the “curtain” came to a close on the session, Becky was, to a point, forgiven. She seems to have collected a little penguin buddy and the rest of the party is now struggling to deal with the after effects of too many close calls layered over each other.

Game Notes
Please keep in mind these games occurred roughly over the past two weeks. The game is a little faster moving than originally thought of. The “staff” of Harpeah (hehe) are already working on thinking of ways to move the game to a partial forums game- partial quick moving game on Skype so that players who can’t make game aren’t so desperately left behind. (SORRY SARAH!!!)
Over the next few weeks/months we’ll be working on something to bring the Forums game side of things into affect (perhaps a time warpy thing?) so players can game without feeling like they need to live online. (Sorry! Some of us are painfully addicted…) If you have any ideas to contribute toward this goal, let us know! (Good Idea ? Bad Idea?)
Level up’s occur every 5 EXP points. Levels that end in 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 ,and 9 give you the option of taking on any “special move” listed in the experience points list. (Please note, the experience points list for special move IS DIFFERENT then the creation one!)
For Levels that end in 0 or 5, you get access to one of the special- optional Bonuses! You can also switch this bonus for another special move.
GAME
If there is a particular time or day you want to game, and I can make it happen, I’ll attempt it. If you want a private scene with a few close friends, or npcs, you can arrange that on the forums or over PMs too. While I require a bit of a life away from the PC, my life is a lot less chaotic than it used to be. The private/downtime scenes will not bounce toward the main plotline, but rather are like “side quests” for entertainment- hopefully helping slow down people missing out on “main” scenes and mourning the fact they had a life outside of a PC.
