Harpeah Gaming Weekend....? --- In the future?!

HI everyone!

So I just wanted to start talking about this now. FOR IN THE FUTURE. Like at least 6-10 months in the future... Because that's just how long these things take to plan...


We used to do weekend long LARP weekends, in the mountains, in someone's house, camping.. (oh god.. not camping...) but we've done them in the past--- and we can do them again in the future... It allows us to come together as friends, meet in person- and of course, game like the freaks we are.

In teh past it's been friday night into Sunday morning, with sunday morning-afternoon clean up of the site.

So... then..

The question arises...

Do you all want to do another weekend?

Kat's coming to So cali. (YAY) and with the glories of Skype.. (yay) we can even remote in a few people at various times who want to be "gaming" and are "unable" to come to game. (Though let's face it... we'd much perfer you were here too?)

Questions that need to be asked:

Do you want another gaming weekend, yay or nay...

Is there a particular time everyone thinks they can get away from said time away? (Jobs are wonderful things that give us money for this stuff..)

Anyone have a place willing to put up with a bunch of gamers?... Once upon a time... Erika said her family would be willing to host us camping out side.. -- she has horses and dogs... and a kitty... but also a bathroom with plumbing if her family were willing to host us... and there's something to be said for .. indoor plumbing???)

.... And camping may not be realistic if cali gets a shitton of rain.. (... mmm rain..)

The farthest I have anything planned out is October. So if we choose at some point beyond November that should work for me.

Kit and I may be moving in late October/ early November (hopefully something WAY better). So it may be a bit hard for us to do much around then :/ Early next year may work better for us....unless Kit has other ideas that are different than mine lol

No, not different ideas. I was thinking a January/February game would be better, giving Kat enough time to settle in and the rest of us time to save money (for those people who would need to travel a bit).

Honestly I think Jan/Feb/March is more realistic that Nov/December simply because of the holidays

I have a baby due in Late January or early February. So later is better.
